Brass Bonanza
by Jack Say
arr. Charlie Peterson
Price: $10

Transposed parts can be ordered.

Groovy and catchy instrumental tune written in the 1970s that became the theme song of the Hartford Whalers hockey team.  A fun one for old hockey fans and anyone who likes classic 1970s elevator music.  Beware, trumpet 1 has some high Ds and the horn has several Gs and a few optional high Cs.  Some optional notes are included in the drum break segments if a drummer will not be used.

PS:  When the Whalers left Connecticut in 1997 and relocated to North Carolina, they became the Carolina Hurricanes.  Brass Bonanza is sometimes played in Raleigh, and it is also played at Hartford Yard Goats minor league baseball games.  The theme song has become one of the most identifiable in professional sports.

Listen to a synthesized rendition.
