Brass Quintet

I Know That My Redeemer Liveth
by George Handel
arr. Charlie Peterson
Price: $10

Transposed parts can be ordered.

This lovely soprano aria movement from part 3 of Handel's Messiah gives trumpet 1 (or flugelhorn) the complete soprano part.  Trumpet 2 gets most of the violin solo, and tuba most of the bass part.  Though mostly filler, the horn and trombone do get a few nice moving lines.  The piece is transposed down from the original key of E to Eb for a much more comfortable setting for brass.  Playing time is nearly 6 minutes, but an optional Fine is written in for a 2 and a half minute version.
